Airspace Files. UK Airspace files provided by Rory O'Conor are available from http://www.btinternet.com/~rory.oconor/airspace/ukair.zip.
There are however problems in using these files with Glide Navigator II, StrePla and Soar Pilot Software. These can be overcome with a few simple edits. More details of this can be found at http://www.spsys.demon.co.uk/GNII.htm
Converting .AIR files to Filser Format.As *.AIR format SUA files are becoming more readily availably for other Countries, LX owners may wish to convert these files into LX format. This can be done with the program LXasbrowser provided by LX Navigation on their website at http://www.lxnavigation.si/avionics/downloads/software/LxasBrowser.zip
UK National Grid.
UK Ordnance Survey maps are constructed using the OSGB36 Geodetic Datum, but IGC requires all Flight Recorders to be set to the WGS84 Datum. A conversion program to convert between UK Ordnance Survey Grid References and Lat/Longs (both OSGB36 and WGS84 Datums) can be accessed from http://www.spsys.demon.co.uk/software/convert.zip (If you do not have a copy of PKZIP , click Here).
